The SDIT training modules
The SDIT project aimed to train and empower theatre companies (professionals in the field) to promote the inclusion of autistic young people in theatre. The project included a training component that combined both theoretical and practical approaches. This methodology enabled not only the transmission of essential knowledge but also its application in real-life contexts, making the learning process more effective and meaningful for participants.
It was also observed that the number of trainees far exceeded initial expectations, demonstrating strong interest in and engagement with the initiative. This highlights the project’s relevance to its target audience and the need to continue investing in initiatives of this kind.
As a result of the work carried out, it is noteworthy that the majority of the autistic young people involved in the project are now integrated into groups. This represents a significant step forward in terms of social inclusion, active participation, and the development of interpersonal skills. This positive impact reinforces the importance of continuing and expanding such initiatives.
